so many times we are asking trans people to teach us how not to do to them what hurts them, but that’s our work and its hard work. A lot of my political consciousness I owe to Black Trans people, (Black women and Queer people), this is true that they taught me how to think about things but at some point we have to do the work on our own. That is to relieve them of the double burden of not only having to experience the oppression that we are enacting but then teach us how to not oppress them. Black men need to wrestle with one another and hold each other accountable to figure out the work we have to do in the world.
